Taylor & Francis will be hosting a Scholarly Summit event at Kimpton DeWitt Amsterdam on July 2nd. The theme of this year is ‘Fit for the future: building an open and ethical research environment’.
This full day event is available exclusively for our journal editors and society partners based in Europe. It provides opportunities to discuss the key issues facing journal editors and learned societies, and network with industry leaders, fellow editors, learned society representatives, and Taylor & Francis colleagues. There will be a program of speakers from leading organizations such as Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), Sense about Science, and Publons addressing the latest developments in scholarly publishing and research communication, as well as wide-ranging discussions on innovation, challenges and best practices.
The discussions include:
- Keynote address – ‘What should scientific journals do to foster research integrity‘ by Professor Lex Bouter, Methodology & Integrity, Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam
- COPE editor survey findings on publication ethics guidance for arts, humanities and social sciences by Gavin Swanson, COPE Council Member
- ‘How to find and reward peer reviewers’ panel discussion led by Publons and our in-house experts
- ‘How researchers can reach policy-makers‘ by Ilaina Khairulzaman, Head of Voice of Young Science EU, Sense about Science
