What is a Guest Advisor?

A Guest Advisor leads an Article Collection – a compilation of published articles based on a trending topic or theme. Guest Advisors can work independently or as part of a team.

Most importantly, Guest Advisors are expected to be active in their field of research and have expertise on the topic/s of the Article Collection that they lead on.

Who is eligible?

To be considered as a Guest Advisor you will be an expert in your field and have multiple high-quality publications. Some Guest Advisors may have previous editorial experience, such as leading a special issue as a Guest Editor, but this is not mandatory.

Does this sound like you? If so, you could be eligible to lead an Article Collection supported by our Content Acquisition Team.

What are the responsibilities?

Guest Advisors have the following responsibilities:

  • Defining the scope of the Article Collection that will be evaluated by the Editor-in-Chief.

  • Organizing the Article Collection with colleagues and collaborators.

  • Creating a list of potential authors to share the call for papers with.

  • Maintaining the high ethical standards of the journal and complying with Taylor & Francis’ Editorial Policies.

Guest Advisors have no role in the peer review process unless they are existing members of the journal’s Editorial Board and are already involved in the peer review process as part of their Editorial Board duties.
