About the role

Immunological Investigation is seeking Editorial Board Members. 

We welcome applications from academics with a strong track record in Immunology.

This is an excellent opportunity for respected subject matter experts who want to contribute to the strategic growth of the journal. In this advisory role, you will support our editorial leadership, act as an ambassador within the global research community, and help shape the journal’s future direction without the day-to-day management of the peer-review pipeline.

In this role, you will: 

  • Provide strategic advice to the Editor-in-Chief and Publisher on emerging research trends and journal scope.
  • Act as a trusted peer reviewer for manuscripts within your field of expertise on an occasional basis.
  • Actively promote the journal within your professional networks and represent the title at key events and conferences.
  • Support content growth by occasionally submitting your own high-quality work or encouraging colleagues to submit.
  • Collaborate on special projects, such as suggesting topics or guest editors for high-impact Special Issues and article collections.
  • Participate in annual Editorial Board meetings to discuss performance metrics, indexing, and plans for the journal’s long-term development.

Disseminating immunological developments on a worldwide basis, Immunological Investigations provides a truly in-depth examination of the latest advances in molecular and cellular immunology by reporting on all facets of fundamental and applied immunology that include (but are not limited to): the development, activation and control of innate and adaptive immune cells, immunity to infectious diseases and cancer, transplantation, allergy, autoimmunity, immunodeficiencies, vaccines and immunotherapies, the interaction between the microbiome or metabolic diseases and immune function, mucosal immunity, aging and immunity, immune regulation of cardiovascular and neurological diseases, immunogenetics, immunohematology, and immunological techniques. Investigators are encouraged to submit original research articles that report novel findings, as well as review articles that cover new and emerging topics.
