About the role
Journal of the Air & Waste Management Association is seeking a Social Media Editor to run a LinkedIn account to promote the journal, and further support its increasing reach and dissemination. The successful candidate should ideally be a postgraduate student in an area related to the scope of the journal. They should be able to work and communicate effectively with the Editorial team, as well as interact with the Taylor & Francis subject account. The Social Media Editor will be expected to post topical, popular, and newly published JA&WMA content to the public, and to post about published articles, and issues. The successful candidate is likely to have proven experience of using social media channels in either their professional and/ or personal lives and will ideally provide evidence of growing a social media account. The successful candidate will be appointed as ‘Social Media Editor’ on the journal’s Editorial Board, will be provided with guidance and data to support them in their role, and work with the Technical Editor-in-Chief, Managing Editor and Publisher to build awareness of JA&WMA by connecting with the journal’s community online. They may also be invited to join virtual journal meetings.About the journal
The Journal of the Air & Waste Management Association (J&AWMA) is one of the oldest continuously published, peer-reviewed, technical environmental journals in the world. First published in 1951 under the name Air Repair, J&AWMA is intended to serve those occupationally involved in air pollution control and waste management through the publication of timely and reliable information.

- Skills in fostering online discussions, responding to comments, and engaging with followers in a professional and timely manner.
- Ability to collaborate with journal editors, authors, and other stakeholders to align social media efforts with journal goals.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with the Publisher, Managing Editor and Technical Editor-in-Chief.
